I would like to take this time to point out some of the major health concerns that the Migyeon Dosa ( Korean Mastiff ) is prone to having. Like most Mastiffs this may not be the breed for just anyone. Not only do they eat alot, grow fast but they can also be costly for the Vet up keep as well (Bi yearly Vet Visits are needed for the first 2 years minimum). So for anyone thinking of purchasing a Mastiff type breed I suggest you do your homework as even after the cost of the intial purchase of the Pup/ Dog there will be many more dents in your pocket book to come. Like any Mastiff breed you will experience many trips to the Vet and the Korean Mastiff is NO different. I know there is NOT alot of information out there on the Korean Mastiff and i am working on changing that, so for anyone wanting to know more about the health issues that may accompany the breed I suggest reading up on Neapolitan Mastiff sites, as the Korean Mastiff is very similar to the Neo in almost every way. The Korean Mastiff is by far the best Mastiff Breed I have owned but that is not to say that they do not come with their share of health concerns like all Mastiffs. Unfortunatly I will be the first to tell you that the Korean Mastiff is not at a point where it needs to be. This is Due to many years of Cross Breeding and Line Breeding to create this great breed. Now that the breed has it's desired look breeders are consentrating more on improving the health in the breed. Again this is very similar to where the Neapolitan Mastiff was 40 to 50 years ago. We as breeders are striving towards only producing the best quality Korean Mastiffs we can with the limited stock that is avaible to us and hopefully in the years to come we can work on riding some of the health issues that accompany the Korean Mastiff, but again i will be the first to say that this will take many many more years to make that happen. With that said I would like to discuss some of the major health issues that accompany the Korean Mastiff. Below I will List the health Concerns and attach a link for you to do furture research. I hope this helps everyone to learn more about this great breed and to also detour someone from making a purchase they may not be able to care for properly.
